Another 365 minus 1 day of learning from the beautifully-wild-forever-testing-never-a-dull-moment School of Life.
As the end of the year slowly creeps up, a mental recap of my 2015 has brought with it some big emotions of accomplishment AND defeat.
While some goals were reached after A LOT of perseverance and unrelenting hard work,
others didn’t produce the results I desperately wanted to bring to life.
And while I could sit here and punish myself for
not trying hard enough
for not doing enough
and for not being enough…
What I’ve learned is that sometimes some things are just not meant to be.
Rather, the journey of how a specific circumstance, relationship or conflict plays out is yet another lesson in life that was destined to happen to help you unwrap your beautiful gifts.
As I bid farewell to 2015 and reflect on that #onelitleword that sums up the past year, STRENGTH seemed to be on continuous looping in every. single. area. of. my. life.
That when I didn’t think I could push through with finishing the final grueling year of grad school, I humbly walked the stage back in October with the most expensive piece of paper I’ve ever owned in hand.
That after being one phone call away from giving up on a fragmented relationship with my mom (because we mixed like water and oil), I dug out the courage to work out our differences and restore our bond.
That after genuinely opening up my vulnerable and scarred heart again to only have it shattered like a worthless piece of glass, I somehow found the fortitude to pick myself up off the cold bathroom floor to continue my journey.
That after birthing and abandoning a baby (figuratively) that tore me to a million and one pieces, I would have the strength to relaunch NuBaby Wellness in Vancouver to honor my gift in inspiring new parents to raise happy, healthy kiddos while living a loving and connected lifestyle.
And that although I don’t have a definitive answer to where I am going or how I am going to get there, there is an inner force deep within me that gives me the confidence to know that I am right where I should be.
As the branding from one of my fave local inspiring apparel company says:
She is PURPOSEFUL
She is HONORABLE
She is STRONG
“She is clothed with strength and dignity and laughs without fear of the future”
