July is my favoritest month of the year. Why? Because it means summer is officially here. And that means more sunshine, more fresh air and more fun times!
It’s also my birthday month, and this year I want to share it with YOU!
Since high school, I’ve had a tradition of buying myself a birthday present every year (you know….those sky-high pumps, this cute outfit, that designer purse). But this year I’m forgoing the tangible present and opting for a gift that will nurture my soul + yours too.
Looking back on the past 30 years of my life, I suffered from the NEVER ENOUGH problem…I was always lacking in some shape or form. I never had enough. And I was never enough.
Most of my time was spent calculating:
How much I have
How much I want
A bitter reminder of how much I DIDN’T have.
This plus my constant comparison to what I think everyone else had made for a vicious cycle of self-defeat.
With my 31st birthday creeping up in T-23 days, it’s time to give this draining habit a karate kick to the curb. Instead of looking outwards to what I don’t have, I’m choosing to look inwards to what I do to combat the default negativity that has a way of taking over.
So I am introducing to you….(drum roll please)…..the #31LoveNotes Project.
Every day in July, I’m going to be serving up a lil’ Love Note on an exquisite river rock with a positive message to offer nudges of encouragement and doses of self-love.
Why the Love Notes?
These short & sweet notes make the glass half full. Instead of focusing on all that is lacking in your life, it reminds you that you have enough and you are enough. It encourages you to appreciate yourself for your strengths AND your imperfections. And it nourishes your subconscious mind to focus on the positive.
Rocks are a symbol of strength and stability. A perfect visual to remind us that we are strong and grounded in times of weakness.
By the end of the month, the collection of Love Notes will be displayed on a platter so that I’ll have a go-to place for my soul to be nurtured. And it can become an ornate centerpiece for some convo-starting home décor. BONUS!
Here are the ingredients for the project:
And here is what it looks like 31 days later!

I’d also love for you to join me in creating your own personal Love Notes. Whether you write it on a rock, a piece of paper or your napkin from breakfast. Take one minute each day to write down something that reflects how radiantly awesome you really are and share it with the hashtag #31LoveNotes.
